The only son of Garrett and Johanna Smith and Garrett's firstborn, Ian Smith would be the sole heir of his father’s business, Smith Corporation, once he was old enough. Whatever the boy needed or wanted, he had no trouble acquiring it due to his father’s constant successes in the biomedical industry. By the time Ian was able to form his own sentences, one of the first things he asked for Christmas was a baby brother. It was very much a surprise to him when that following Christmas morning, his father would walk in with an infant boy in his arms. Elated that he was going to have to play with, he was also confused by the scorn on his mother’s face. As the two boys grew up and started attending school, what once was a dream come true would become a nightmare. Avery would grow up to be quite the troublesome adolescent, a thorn in his mother’s side, which would then result in his parents arguing. All of it seems to have mellowed out once the brothers were in college and out of the house, living their respective lives. Ian would graduate from a university with a degree in Business Administration**, having already interned at his father’s business and was essentially guaranteed a decent position at Smith Corporation. Ambitious and diligent, it wouldn’t be long before Ian would climb up to the position of a voted board director and the perfect son his mother always trained him to be, unlike his bastard half-brother.___... Ian is able to shift fully into a snowy owl (bubo scandiacus) as well as partial shifts, including large wings or legs/feet. He has exceptional hearing and sight. On the other hand, Ian needs glasses in human form due to farsightedness, but he does not wear them all the time.___Personality___
Prized son and Smith Corporation's anticipated heir, Ian always bore these names on his sleeve with pride. This roughly translates to the atmosphere that he carries wherever he goes and into his work ethic. Known to be cutthroat and meticulous with details, Ian leaves no stones unturned when it comes to making any decisions, calculating as many possible outcomes as possible and preparing for the worst. People tend to find him intimidating as a business partner, even though he's not the CEO (yet). There have been rumors about he works, but there hasn't been any damning evidence and his results have been consistent, upholding the reputation of Smith Corp.
